What is cat grass and why do cats eat it?
Cat grass (typically wheat grass or similar grains) is a safe, nutrient-rich grass that cats instinctively graze on. In the wild, cats eat grass to help expel hairballs, aid digestion, and provide fibre/roughage. It can induce vomiting of indigestible material (like fur) and supplies folic acid, vitamins (A, B, chlorophyll), and minerals. Indoor cats especially benefit since they lack access to outdoor grass.

How quickly does your Cat Grass 4-Pack grow?
Our kits start to grow in just 4-5 days, and your cat will have long enough blades to nibble in as little as 10 days. Just follow the simple instructions, all you need to add is water!
How do I grow your cat grass?
Our instructions our easy and fun and come with our kits. In short –
- Open 1 container and remove the soil packet, gently and evenly compress the soil in the container.
- Gently and evenly compress the soil in the container.
- Open 1 bag of the grass seeds and pour on top of the soil, spread evenly.
- Open a small bag of soil and spread evenly on top of the seeds so they are covered.
- Water the soil with 1/4 cup of water (60ml or two shot glasses), it is very important not to over water.
- Place the pot somewhere in your home that is bright and airy but out of direct sunlight and cold drafts
- In 4 to 5 days shoots should appear. Once the grass is 2 inches tall it can be offered to your cat. Water once a week with 60ml of water
Is cat grass the same as catnip?
No. Cat grass is edible wheat grass for digestion/enrichment. Catnip is a herb that causes a euphoric response in many (but not all) cats. They serve different purposes, but both are used for feline enrichment.
What if my cat doesn't eat grass or vomits after?
Not all cats eat grass; they eat it when they feel they need it. Occasional vomiting is normal (it helps clear hair). If excessive or with other symptoms, remove the grass and see your vet as a precaution.
Is Cat Grass suitable for all cats (kittens, seniors, multiples)?
Yes, cat grass is safe for kittens, adults, and seniors. And is great for multi-cat homes.
Is Catnip safe?
Catnip is safe, non-toxic, and non-addictive for cats.
