Each kit contains a small plastic pot with professional compost, a bag of UK grown wheat grass seeds and a small bag of topping compost. Instructions are included and easy to follow.

How to grow cat grass at home?

• Open 1 container and remove the soil packet, gently and evenly compress the soil in the container. Gently and evenly compress the soil in the container.
• Open 1 bag of the grass seeds and pour on top of the soil, spread evenly.
• Open a small bag of soil and spread evenly on top of the seeds so they are covered, lightly flatten, no sand castles today.
• Water the soil with 1/4 cup of water (60ml or two shot glasses), it is very important not to over water, DO NOT drown like rice crispies.
• If using the full plastic kits, lightly replace the lid DO NOT press it down, this will keep the soil moist while the seeds germinate. If you are using your own container you can use the large soil bag to lightly cover the top.
• Place the pot somewhere in your home that is bright and airy but out of direct sunlight and cold drafts.
• In 4 to 5 days shoots should appear and you can then remove the lid and watch your grass grow, if you are really bored.
Once the grass is at least 2 inches high it can be eaten by your cat (approx 7 days), you can now give your grass a 1/4 cup of water each week or when very dry.
• Depending on conditions it will last approx 14 more days.
• Its advisable to start the next cat grass kit in 6 to 7 days to have a continuous supply.
• To get the best growth do not walk on the grass and do not allow ball games.
