All the components of our Cat Grass Kits are made or grow in the UK. We use Oat grass seeds grown for human consumption on a local family run farm. Our refill packs allow you to use your own container, a coffee mug works well. These can now fit through your letter box and are sent Royal Mail.
Grass is completely indigestible to cats so why do they eat it? Most scientists believe that in the wild cats will ingest grass to help them pass or throw up the indigestible parts of pray, like hair and teeth, which protects their digestive system from blockages. You may also notice that your cat eats grass and then very soon after vomits.
This is to help regurgitate the hair they have swallowed when they clean. If you have ever felt the raspy tongue of a cat you can just imagine how much hair they end up swallowing and this can be very uncomfortable for them.
No one wants to clean up cat vomit but at the same time not providing grass can lead to expensive vet bills and unhappy cats. This is especially important for indoor cats and cats living in countries where the weather can keep them indoors for extended periods.
It may even save your house plants!
Great for winter enrichment for indoor cats who would usually only have cat grass access in the summer. They love it…! Took a couple of weeks to germinate to a decent height for them on a windowsill but super easy and would buy again.
My cat is spending a lot of time outside, I am not sure what grass he is eating, but I am more than happy to provide him with a grass that he will enjoy and that will help his digestive system.This set came with 3 plastic, round boxes, with soil and the seeds (three bags of seeds, one for each box). I am very happy I can start the process of growing this grass, even in the winter, and that someone who does not have a garden, can do it in indoors as well.I will update my review after the grass is grown and my cat is enjoying it, but for now, I am very happy with the quality and presentation of this product.

Previously bought the wrong type of grass and my cats wouldn’t touch it. This oat grass they love! Germinated well and fully, great pot of grass. Only problem is it slides around the top lol
The media could not be loaded.
It's easy to use. It took time approx 1week to grow. It's too light to pull. So I need to hold when my dog eats. I need to prepare the container by myself for next time. There are lots of seeds in the sachet. So I used 1/3 first of all.
My cat did not like it
When I started using this, I'd never grown anything from seed. Instructions were clear and easy, and our indoor cat likes having access to grass. It comes with 3 plastic containers of potting mix, with three separate baggies of oat seeds, and 3 more small baggies of potting mix to put atop the seeds. Super easy, just tamp it all down in the right order and add water. I've even added too much water, and its recovered enough to grow some grass.After a few months, I got my own seeds and dirt rather than the kits, but it was much messier and less convenient. I really prefer buying it this way.
